School

There’s a problem with modern-day education. For instance, most of the teachers really don’t give a damn about anything unless they get credit for anything. A few classes that I’m taking now really do annoy me, and yet they all serve a purpose in this world. I want to stress attention to the current topic of education, and the real problem is that education is really being played around with, not only in North America, but all over the world.

Many 3rd world countries are suffering from a poor education program, and because of this the country is failing economically and educationally. Although there are normal everyday people that would love to see a smile on another person’s face for an accomplished goal, there are others who just plain fat out really don’t care. Only recently in the news that men and women from first world countries are spending time and money to create a school in a poor area of a poor country, to educate the men, women, and children how to the simplest of things: such as reading, writing, problem solving and sexual education. Not counting the millions of uneducated people who spend their lives in an old, forgotten era of just trying to stay alive, to work like an 15th century peasant!

Anyways, back to the topic. Teachers. My teachers in school really differenciate between themselves. I have old-school teachers who don’t use calculators, teachers that really shouldn’t teach, teachers that use computers and relate to them in every single conversation, and even teachers that don’t realise when they are wrong. My math teacher, for instance, is the worst teacher I have ever had. He does not explain tihngs unless he knows for certain about what HE understands, not I. My World History teacher, unlike my math teacher, is one of the best. He explains things in detail, knows everything about all his course, doesn’t jump around from one topic to another if they are not related. Now this type of teacher is what I need, someone who commands attention and respect, and in return gives proper valid information and valuable answers to my questions.

Now there is one thing that bugs me about the education system. If teachers work in schools, of course they do it for the money, few of them do it because they love it, and some do it just for the hell of it. Now principals and headmasters…if they need a teacher for a certain topic they can choose anybody, but after a while when they realise that the students that are in the teacher’s class are failing, complaining not only about how disorganised the teacher is, but how bad the teachings are. This is when schools should look for more advanced, reliable people to teach their students if they want their school to become well-known and respected in the school communions.

Of course, there is something good and bad that comes out of the good and bad teachers, lessons that are tought that don’t really have to do with the subject at hand. Because of my newfound teachers, I can now finally differentiate between a good and bad teacher, choose topics that can interest me better in the near future, and now best of all I know how to react better in different situations, to be rational or not.

I also want to add in the topic of the education in the 3rd world. Not only people don’t give a damn about their country’s education and they care more about how much money they will receive, people also are making the wrong decisions that is plunging the country’s economy down to the ground, especially countries in Africa. I know that it IS progressing for the better, but this little progress is nothing compared to how much work needs to be done so that almost even 75% of the continent’s men, women and children are to be properly educated in the views of the modernised Western World.

But all in all, I think that education should not be messed around with because it is very important for the development of your own country economically, politically, socially, and alot of differnt -allys.

Here we go…

Sun rising at the mountains

Well this is my first post on my first blog…so its kinda new to me i guess. I saw some of my friends use it and I thought, why not try it out? Well here I am sitting at my computer figuring the whole blogging process, the editing process, even the thematic process! And so far, I’m pretty impressed with what I see.

This blog is mainly going to be how I feel like during the course of a week or something, and what important choices should be done that would change my life, or influence other’s. I don’t know if this blog will be read alot, but what I write and more importantly, HOW I write is going to influence how this blog will be viewed as.

I hope to be able to really use this new “hobby” of mine and express myelf in a more punctual yet descriptive way than I usually am, as I don’t think I’m very much liked as a person by some, not all, but some people. Perhaps just by writing what and how I feel about everyday life could change me, possibly even change the way I think, I act, and how I feel towards life, work, family, and friends.
